As a DSP, you will ensure the safety and well-being of the developmentally disabled population by providing consistent and quality comfort, care, training, and support. Shifts are available morning, afternoon, and overnight in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens.

• Provide habilitation services to each client as prescribed in that client’s service plans (CFA, Individual Service plan, Habilitation plan)
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as preparing food, personal hygiene, laundry, and cleaning
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
• Willingness to support people’s preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, exercise of their rights, etc. in various settings
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED/Equivalency
• Proof of Covid vaccination
• 1 year experience as a DSP, Home Health Aide, or other one-on-one direct care experience
• BLS CPR certificate issued by the American Heart Association
• Ability to stay awake and alert at all times, lifting objects/standing for long periods of time, some computer data entry
• SCIP certified (optional, eligible for $18/hr)

Pay: $16.00 – 18.00/hour, weekly payment
