Senior Data Engineer

In this role you will get to:

• Assist in the development of data tools supporting our external partnerships to grow their businesses

  • These tools will include reporting capabilities for internal and external customers through interfaces and services

  • Documentation for partner integrations

• Develop processes to improve data procurement and consistency throughout our data platform

• Support & provide ongoing analysis of said systems and technology for future improvements

Who you are:

• 5 years of development or equivalent consultant experience

• An academic background in Computer Science or related discipline

• An ability to implement solutions by programming all necessary components of an application

• Experience with and a deep understanding of data warehousing of large and complicated data sets

• Analytical mindset with a passion for creative pattern analysis

• Technical knowledge in but not necessarily exclusive to: Ruby on Rails, Go, MongoDB, MySql, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Apache Kafka)

• Knowledge of and experience with GoodData is a plus

• Experience with developing on Cloud platforms, especially GCP and AWS Glue Data catalog

• Work in an operations and development capacity

• Ability to work in cross-functional teams

• Demonstrated ability to learn and master new subject areas quickly, strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to collaborate and work in a small team with little direction

• Knowledge and experience in connecting to external services

• An understanding of the Agile methodology, practiced is a nice to have

• Knowledge and experience in developing in a test driven model would be a big plus

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000 USD
