Job Summary:
Plan, Promote and Lead Fatherhood Programming
Responsibilities and Duties:
-Develop, implement, maintain and evaluate the Dad's programming in collaboration with other partners.
-Reach out, recruit and connect with fathers who live, learn, work, play or pray in the community to participate in activities.
-Develop outreach strategies, including attending events, meetings, tournaments where dads will be present.
-Create and update education materials and outreach flyers.
-Oversee events such as meet-ups for dads.
-Develop and/or implement workshops and training.
-Administratively collect program data, maintain program records and files, and perform routine administrative tasks, including report writing.
-Oversee inventory, order, store, and distribute program materials.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of (5) years equivalent experience in community outreach, family support or related field.
-Experience in the social services field, preferably working with hard-to-reach, underserved, diverse populations.
-Experience facilitating groups and training.
-Experience working with dads is preferable.
-Experience working with men in social/human services or fatherhood programming or experience in case management, counseling, and providing direct services to fathers/families and knowledge of community resources preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
-Ability to handle multi-phone lines effectively.
- Working knowledge of office machines and equipment.
-Strong proficiency with computers, data base entry and with the full Microsoft Office suite, email, and internet.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills; above-average interpersonal skills.
-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data and information and apply appropriate judgment.
-Passion for providing extraordinary customer service and work.
