Summary: 

Manage special Quality projects as assigned, which may include audits, process improvements, training and other identified needs.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage assigned special projects for Quality improvement activities.
• Develop and write procedures, training aids, and other communication tools.
• Compile data from various sources to understand current practices and recommend changes for improvement.
• Train others in Quality and Problem Solving methodologies in plants as necessary.
• Facilitate or lead cross functional improvement teams.
• Investigate customer complaints, check records, review paper trail and determine root cause as requested.
• Participate and/or provide guidance for Design of Experiments on selected processes.
• Conduct or assist with capability studies for validation of processes.
• Perform special testing or verification of processes as needed.
• Perform other related duties or special projects such as CpK studies, DOE on processes, connect InfintyQS, SFOL, or other data collection software to machines for SPC, etc.
• Assist/backup Quality manager as needed.
• May serve as team member on other improvement teams; attend ISO meetings, prepare, perform and review audits.
• May lead various team efforts as required or directed.
• All other related tasks as assigned. 

Education, Qualifications, & Requirements:

• Requires a college degree or equivalent and the ability to demonstrate competency in additional specialized areas related to inspection procedures, defect recognition, statistical techniques (SPC, DOE etc.), and other problem solving tools. 
• Requires a minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience, preferably in a quality or continuous improvement role, in order to gain sufficient skill to perform the requirements of the position.

Openings Available: Full-Time, 12-18 month duration (1st shift but occasionally working other shifts)

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
