Responsibilities:

Patient Communication:

• Handle incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and resolving concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Radiology Expertise:

• Utilize knowledge of radiology procedures and terminology to assist patients with appointment scheduling and answer related queries.
• Collaborate with radiology staff to ensure accurate and timely communication of appointment details.

Epic Software Utilization:

• Navigate and effectively use Epic software for patient information management and appointment scheduling.
• Document and update patient records accurately and in compliance with company policies.

Insurance Verification:

• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients prior to appointments.
• Communicate with insurance providers to obtain necessary authorization and resolve any discrepancies.

Medical Scheduling:

• Leverage previous experience as a medical scheduler to optimize appointment scheduling processes.
• Coordinate and manage patient appointments efficiently, considering both patient preferences and operational requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Call Center Representative in a healthcare setting, with a focus on radiology and insurance verification.
• Familiarity with Epic software and the ability to navigate and utilize its features effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance representatives.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document and update patient records.
• Previous experience in medical scheduling is highly desirable.
