POSITIONSUMMARY The Business System Analyst conducts all aspects of assignedinformation systems, including implementation, maintenance, system analytics,training, and user support. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Design, developand implement reports and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI and AzureSynapse Studio. 2. Develop deepunderstanding of underlying Medicaid/Medicare business data and associated residentinformation. 3. Identifiesinterface issues between applications, implementation of new applications,upgrades of existing applications, support of application performance andfunctionality, documentation of procedures, and training of system users. 4. Conducts analysisto identify improvement opportunities and assess system effectiveness. 5. Integrates databetween business systems and business intelligence software. Identifies,analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns from business system data. 6. Reports to Sr.Business Systems Analyst on information systems and makes recommendations forimprovement. Ensures accurate system configuration. 7. Serves as acontact for application vendors and outside consultants in matters related toimplementation support, report writing, and/or application development. 8. Administers dailyfunctions of business systems to ensure systems are running efficiently andeffectively. 9. Provides ongoingsystem support by troubleshooting issues, performing system maintenance andupdates, and conducting routine audits through on-site visits and phoneconsultation. 10. Facilitatessystem training and education on information systems and applications. 11. Integrates andbuilds effective and positive working relationships between IT and other areasof the organization to ensure needs and expectations of the user community aremet. 12. Providesexemplary customer service in all interactions. 13. Developsprofessional knowledge of industry trends and best practices through continuingprofessional education, maintaining personal networks, and participating inprofessional organizations. QUALIFICATIONSAND EXPERIENCE 3 years of related experience with informationsystems and/or healthcare systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skillswith exceptional customer service background. Demonstratable project management skills orProject Management Professional (PMP) certification. Healthcare experience and technical knowledge ofinformation systems preferred. Microsoft Azure Synapse experience preferred. Microsoft Power BI experience stronglypreferred. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in business,healthcare administration, or related field, or equivalent knowledge andskills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience. SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES This position does not havesupervisory responsibilities.
