Job Title: EHR Application Administrator

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: IT Manager

Department: Information Technology

JOB SUMMARY

The EHR Application Administrator will support users with the EHR application (Credible) and companion products including but not limited to, form building, technical support, report generation, business intelligence/dashboard creation, and training. Along with writing EHR tech solutions, additional duties include supporting network and systems, updating system hardware and software, troubleshooting system errors, providing help desk support, and assisting IT team members in supporting all data security and optimization.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides prompt, courteous customer support via phone, email, MS Teams, and remote assistance.
  • Assists staff with operation and functionality of EHR related software, supporting applications, workflows, incidents, and requests.
  • Provides EHR reporting and BI (Business Intelligence) needs of the agency, including monthly reports and dashboards.
  • Creates/revises forms, workflows, etc. associated with the EHR as needed.
  • Responsible for timely reporting of issues, requests, and incidents. Utilizes documentation tools to capture relevant information. Answers queries and resolves issues with software applications and escalates or closes tickets, as necessary (internal and external).
  • Assists with maintenance of EHR related inventory, comprehensive system testing, and troubleshooting documents.
  • Must be able to consistently participate in activities around planned and unplanned maintenance requirements, including outages and troubleshooting. Notifies staff of planned downtime.
  • Self-manages time and effort. Responsible for providing status on assigned tasks.
  • Assumes responsibility and demonstrates initiative; works collaboratively and constructively with team members and is able to balance multiple work streams at once.
  • Engages in activities and training to remain current as well as enhance technical skill level.
  • Identifies learning needs and obtains necessary education to meet requirements of position.
  • Ensures that all systems are maintained and comply with security standards.
  • Covers helpdesk to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve user issues.
  • Updates technology inventory as requested (e.g., workstations, tablets, servers, cell phones, etc.).
  • Complies with all Prestera Center policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
  • Adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA, and risk management policies and procedures including but not limited to completing Incident Reports.
  • Participates in other functional work by participating in related projects, as applicable and directed by Center leadership.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No direct supervisory responsibilities are required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS


EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess excellent computer skills.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, previous training and\or related certification.
  • Aptitude to learn and master new support and help desk tools, systems, and solutions.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills and ability to create useful and actionable SQL reports from the EHR and other IT systems as needed.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work while on a deadline.
  • Has shown ability to take initiative and respond quickly and accurately to requests for data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of Associate degree in IT or related field.
  • Previous experience with EHR system preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare facility, healthcare software, and/or medical records a plus.
