Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Pressed Café Newton is looking for Assistant General Manager (AGM) to learn our business and grow with us! We are a fast-growing company with an amazing team, and we are looking to bring someone on board!

At Pressed Cafe we make our food to order and prepare our ingredients from scratch in our prep kitchen. We have micro-roasted coffee and fresh cold-pressed Juices! We pride ourselves on putting out delicious and healthy food very quickly.

Pay: Hourly pay based on experience and schedule- open to re-evaluation at 90 days to transition to a salary-based role

Performance Reviews: 90 days and Annually

Hours: 50 hours per week base schedule.

Results to be achieved by this position: Our managers are outstanding workers and team builders. The shift Manager will hold down one aspect of the business while directing and training small groups of employees in that area.

Work requirements for the position:

• Follow all protocols about the opening, ongoing, and closing tasks.
• Instill a sense of urgency in the staff to deliver orders within Pressed Café’s standards. We strive for drinks under 2 minutes and food in 2-5 minutes.
• Manage all weekly orders, and organize inventory
• Work with Management Team to create and monitor daily side work, food preparation sheets and cleanliness check lists.
• Do cash deposits and be aware of all cash handling in the restaurants as well as overages/shortages and the reconciliation processes.
• Effectively utilize manager communication log.
• Ensure temperature logs for coolers are utilized daily.
• Complete preventative maintenance logs as needed.
• Have knowledge of proper portioning and presentation of menu items.
• Tend to customer queries and concerns as needed.
• Must be able to remain calm in a fast paced and hectic environment, as well as be able to change tasks in an instant based on the needs of the flow of business
• Must be able to work entire shift in a standing or walking position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
