OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

We are looking for a results-oriented leader of our Operations Team to oversee and manage the execution of supply chain operations within the Americas. In this role, you will focus on the implementation and day-to-day management of supply chain and operation processes to ensure efficiency, reliability, and responsiveness. This position includes management of the following departments and personnel: Procurement, Stock Room, Shipping/Receiving, Spares & Repairs, Quality, HS&E and Production. In addition, you will be managing Production Supervisors and a direct labor force.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of all functions involved in the procurement, planning, production, supplier quality and warehousing
• Ensure that all processes, from order fulfillment to delivery, are executed efficiently and in accordance with established standards
• Define annual objectives to drive performance to achieve corporate targets
• Set-up production & operations KPIs, analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization
• Set-up SOP meetings & decision processes, driving capacity planning, MRP and communication with business lines and Sales Regions
• Develop and implement strategies for effective inventory management, including demand forecasting, stock levels, and order replenishment
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to address order-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction
• Apply and develop SC strategy, manage industrial footprint, deploy appropriate industrial model according to make or buy analysis
• Provide leadership and direction for the day-to-day execution of supply chain operations
• Coach and develop the teams, developing competencies and improving performance
• Support Lean management and continuous improvement implementation; implement best practices
• Participate in the implementation of the new ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Administration
• 15 years of Operations experience with 10 years of Managerial experience
• Functional expertise in end-to-end supply chain, logistics, imports/exports, and operations
• Strong leadership and influencing skills
• Result oriented (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.)
• Understanding of Lean-Sigma principles
• Deep knowledge in ERP and processes
