Position Title: Camp Counselor-Robotics
Full-time/Part-time: Part-time - Temporary
Reports to: Jeff Mullins, Director of Robotics/Principal of Summer School/Athletic Director
Supervises: Summer School Campers
Pay Rate: $18.00 Hourly (non-exempt)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, June 10-June 14, 7:45am-12:20pm
The camp runs Monday, June 10th through Friday, June 14th at Presentation High school. Campers will arrive at 8am and depart at 12pm. Counselors are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes early and stay 20 minutes afterward each day for preparation and cleanup.

Position Summary
The Presentation HS Robotics Summer Camp is a week-long, half-day introduction to robotics and engineering targeted at middle school students. Camp counselors are responsible for planning and running all camp activities to engage and motivate the campers toward that goal. This includes managing the daily schedule, presenting technical concepts, and working one-on-one with the middle-school age campers as they build their robots using the provided kit. Counselors will also run daily robot challenges for the students and a mini-competition at the end of the week.
Curriculum and Planning
The curriculum has been customized and is provided by FRC 2135 - Presentation Invasion (Presentation HS robotics team). It is based on VEX IQ robotics kits and the VEX Summer Camp curriculum. Information about the VEX products can be found at vexrobotics.com. The master schedule and daily presentations are available from the Presentation robotics team. Counselors are expected to become familiar with and make necessary revisions to the curriculum a few weeks before the camp starts.
