Job Description

Prescient Edge is seeking a Technical Editor to support a Federal government client. As a Technical Editor, you will:

  • Use tools to communicate complex information from disparate sources clearly, accurately and comprehensively to the intended audience.
  • Gather, analyze, and compose instruction manuals, user manuals, articles, newsletters, quick reference guides, white papers, and finished products using Microsoft suite of tools to be used by senior level leadership.
  • Use insider threat terminology, translating data and metrics into clear, readable documents or dashboards to be used by senior level leadership.
  • Review documents and products for proper format, grammar, style and visual presentation providing edits and updates to contribute to a finished professional product.

Please note that the availability of this position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in the area of communications, Program/Project Management, Security, or related discipline is highly preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • This individual must possess experience in the preparation and management of correspondence and staff actions, with demonstrated experience and knowledge in taking concepts and communicate these concepts in a clear, accurate product and the ability to proofread, edit, and create documents using DoD format, grammar, style, and visual presentation.
  • Substantially similar to a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the following areas:
    1. Technical writing discipline for DoD and the Defense Intelligence Enterprise.
    2. Using tools to communicate complex information from disparate sources clearly, accurately and comprehensively to the intended audience.
    3. Gathering, analyzing, and composing instruction manuals, user manuals, articles, newsletters, quick reference guides, white papers, and finished products using Microsoft suite of tools to be used by senior level leadership.
    4. Using insider threat terminology, translating data and metrics into clear, readable documents or dashboards to be used by senior level leadership
    5. Reviewing documents and products for proper format, grammar, style and visual presentation providing edits and updates to contribute to a finished professional product.
    6. Proficiency in the use of computers and associated software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, OneNote, etc.).
