Sr. Program Manager Description:

  • Manages Undersea Systems Program / project operations to ensure production schedules are met, system resources are utilized effectively, and that proper relationships are established between customers.
  • Responsible for cost, schedule, performance, and risk identification/ mitigation on projects including but not limited to systems, tools, equipment, software, facilities, and other activities.
  • Responsible for day-to-day through to strategic level customer communication.
  • Coordinates resolutions to production-related problems.
  • Responsible for business development activities related to undersea systems; (Business activities to include seeking out new opportunities in the undersea systems space, developing relationships within the undersea system space / network, business analysis for undersea systems – components and program, etc.)
  • Support proposal and report review process: Business development and research support related to Undersea Systems. Assisting program and proposal communication efforts related to Undersea Systems.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings related to the undersea systems program, and or for new undersea system business development opportunities (capture).
  • Document and communicate the results of your Undersea Systems Program efforts. Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management. Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Support new and follow-on business capture management related to Undersea Systems, strategy development and execution, and monitoring progress toward stated business objectives for Undersea Systems.
Job Requirements:


Desired experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Extensive experience and network within the Undersea systems space in terms of relationship and knowledge.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced. Structures analytic questions based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with undersea community members.
  • Demonstrates ability to guide teams to deliver program results and resolve multifaceted or critical problems.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle business development activities within the undersea systems space.

Required education:

  • Master's degree in technical field or business administration, and educational experience in Undersea Systems related-area from a college, university or schoolhouse accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense.

Security Clearance:

  • Security clearance required (TS with SCI eligibility).
  • CAC.

Location:

  • Remote and Customer Site.
