Prescient Edge Federal is Hiring a Content Specialist Near Arlington, VA

Job Description:

Prescient Edge is seeking a Content Specialist to support a government client.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as subject matter expert for one or more BSR CFAs on a BSR.
  • Reviews BSR scope and develops the BSR Document Request.
  • Analyzes documentation including sampling artifacts and highlights compliance issues, concerns and gaps.
  • Maintains supporting review documentation.
  • Explores themes or concerns with Recipient during teleconferences and/or virtual site visits.
  • Authors assigned CFA sections of draft and final BSR Reports.
  • Suggests remedial action on issues of non-compliance, if any.
  • Makes recommendations for improvement of Recipient Business Systems supporting the Major Facility.
  • Provides advice on Implementation Plan or resolution of recommendations as requested by BSR Lead.

Security Clearance:

  • No clearance required, but must be able to obtain one.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following business core functional areas (CFA): award management, financial management, human resources management, procurement, and property management
  • Demonstrated experience (7–10 years) with progressively increasing responsibilities supporting review assessments (e.g., desk reviews, audits) for government science projects (construction and/or operations) particularly NSF, DOE, NASA, and DOD
  • In-depth knowledge of OMB Federal cost/administrative regulations, particularly those pertaining to research administration of grants and agreements
  • Skill in the use of standard electronic business tools, particularly Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and SharePoint
  • Effective and demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interact with NSF staff and science community stakeholders
  • Organizational and effective time management skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with federal agencies in grants, contracts, or other similar funding mechanisms, particularly NSF, DOE, NASA, and DOD
  • Professional certification in any of the listed business functional areas
  • Experience with writing complex or long-form reports

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
