Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. Unlock your potential here!

Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pharmacy Technician II with us:

  • You will to non-sterile compounding, stocking automated dispensing cabinets,
  • You will prepare unit dose drug
  • You will be delivering medications to patient care areas
  • You will check medication storage areas for outdates
  • You will need to complete billing duties
  • You may work in IV room, controlled substance distribution, and monitoring, automation, informatics, and medication reconciliation

Qualifications you will need for this role:

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Pharmacy Technician certificate, or Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
  • If initially hired with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate, must achieve Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) within 12 months of hire date.
  • High school diploma
  • Two-year experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
