Summary:

The Accounting Intern will teach you real-world accounting in a company, while earning you internship credit for college. You will learn basic accounting skills such as but not limited to: accounts payable and receivable, financial statements, year-end reconciliations, preparations and analysis.

Job Duties:

The Accounting Intern will be responsible for completing the following job duties. 

• Assist with financial statements and analysis.
• Assist with year-end reconciliations.
• Work along side the Staff Accountants, Controller and CFO to learn all functions of accounting.
• Work with the Accounts Payable Coordinator to learn AP. 
• Assist with pulling reports and data.

Qualifications:

The following qualifications are required of the Accounting Intern

Education:

Enrolled in a college program for accounting or finance

Skills

• Strong Analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and value of data integrity
• Positive customer service attitude with strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Outlook, Excel)
• Ability to be self-motivated and work effectively with different staff levels at the organization.

Working Conditions:

The Accounting Intern is primarily in an office setting and may be exposed to outdoor conditions.

The working conditions are classified as sedentary work:

• Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Compensation Statement

The salary for this position is $17 an hour. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside the provided range.
