Job Description: The Accounting Associate is a full-time position that processes all independent Real Estate Agent commissions, referrals, and other applicable payouts. Along with Agent payouts, the Accounting Associate is responsible for our Agent A/R. This position is a touchpoint for the independent Real Estate Agents, Escrow/Title companies, and Operations team. This position reports directly to the Controller.

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Updating SkySlope with closing documents and sending file status to agents.
  • Following up on incomplete agent files
  • Sending wire information to title companies
  • Imputing commissions payouts and deposits into SkySlope Books / QuickBooks
  • Assisting agents via phone/email with commission related inquiries as necessary and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer Credit Card payments and transactions related to accounts receivable in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Performing daily Account Reconciliation to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Maintaining and update customer files, including name or address changes.
  • Research customer discrepancies and overpayments and reconciles customer account balances.
  • Creating reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested
  • Ensuring adequate troubleshooting and resolution during high-volume periods.
  • Preform Annual agent 1099 audits
  • Additional duties as required by business needs.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

  • Excellent Customer Service and communication skills required.
  • 1-2 years experience in a customer-centric business environment
  • Detail oriented and excellent time management skills.
  • Skillful in using the following programs including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to learn internal CRM and external life insurance-related applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
