We are a best in class pain management practice offering the full spectrum of interventional treatment options available in our field. We treat acute pain, chronic pain and cancer pain populations, serving the entire valley and beyond. Our first location is based out of Peoria, AZ but we will be looking to grow and expand our location offerings sometime this year. We are a brand new practice looking to grow our team and would love experienced personel.

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team and provide excellent customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a background in pain medicine and will be responsible for scheduling appointments, answering phones, insurance verification, collecting patient information, and providing general administrative support to the medical staff.

THIS IS A FRONT DESK POSITION, BUT WILL BE ASSISTING IN BACK OFFICE DUTIES AS NEEDED.

Hours: Monday -Friday 7:00am-4:30pm

BENEFITS ARE NOT OFFERED AT THIS TIME, BUT WILL BE IN THE FUTURE.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (REQUIRED)
• Degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited college. (REQUIRED)
• Experience with eClinical Works EMR.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of insurance plans, patient registration, and referral process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathetic with patients' needs and concerns.
• Ability to work as a team and be flexible with tasks.
• Positive attitude and genuine desire to contribute to patient well-being.

Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

• Greet and check in patients.
• Answer incoming calls and provide information to callers.
• Schedule appointments and confirm appointments with patients.
• Verify patient insurance coverage.
• Coordinate referrals.
• Collect patient payments and process credit card transactions.
• Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide basic information about pain medicine to patients.
