Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality medical services. Responsibilities: - Perform basic life support procedures, including CPR and first aid, as needed - Administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers - Take and record accurate vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Assist with patient care activities, including preparing patients for examinations and procedures - Maintain patient records and update medical charts with accurate information - Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately document patient symptoms and conditions - Prepare examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness and stocking necessary supplies - Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care as directed by healthcare providers - Coordinate patient referrals to specialists or other healthcare facilities as needed - Perform X-ray imaging procedures following established protocols Requirements: - Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training/certification - Proficiency in basic life support techniques and medication administration - Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred - Ability to perform accurate vital sign measurements and recordkeeping - Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
