Premier Family Medical hires kind, positive, patient advocates who enjoy working with patients in a professional atmosphere. This is a Medical Billing position for the Lindon office. This is NOT a remote position.

Full time, Monday - Friday.

Essential duties and responsibilities would include:

• Follow-up on claims through inbound and outbound phone calls, e-mail and website to resolve unpaid or denied insurance claims
• Know the basics of Medical insurance - copays, deductibles, co-insurance etc
• Review medical claims and billing edits or denials to assist in claim resolution and payment
• Work with medical coders in office to resolve any billing errors or edits
• Resubmits claims after corrections
• Process and post insurance payments to patient account
• Answer incoming phone calls from patients or insurance company
• Help answer patient inquiries regarding their account and take payment
• Set up payment plans
• Abide by HIPPA laws and maintaining confidentiality
• Attend meetings and training as required
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in medical billing or healthcare setting preferred

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently

• Ability to communicate effectively through email, and on the phone

• Strong attention to detail, organization and follow through to claim resolution

• Work independently as well as on a team

• Proficiency in use of computers, spreadsheets and EMR

• Commitment to a high level of customer service and care
• This position is requires a lot of time sitting in a cubicle.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
