General Statement of the Job

The Driver Trainee is responsible for delivering and properly maintaining all Premier Distributing products on retail shelves, refrigerated and warm storage. They are also responsible for the proper rotation of all Premier Distributing products in all areas. Driver Trainees are responsible for properly maintaining displays, all P.O.S. (permanent and theme), to help with new placements of products and displays, and continue to build customer confidence and rapport with quality service on each and every account visit. The Driver Trainee is under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

Duties of the Job

• Check in and out with the liquor or store manager. Inventory, maintain and replace P.O.S. materials for all assigned markets on a daily basis.
• Pull stock from receiving area and move to cooler and rotate into cooler according to code dates.
• Display current permanent, promotional, pricing and reminder P.O.S. at all times.
• Rotate all product in proper sequence according to code date.
• Replace P.O.S. materials as needed or required by store manager including shelf strips, cooler stickers etc. Maintain an adequate supply of P.O.S. materials in vehicle to support products.
• Stock and face warm shelf.
• Stock and face cooler.
• Rebuild, price card and base wrap primary display.
• Call in out-of-stocks.
• Check permanent P.O.S. in assigned accounts to make certain it is clean and operating.
• Clean and mop up any breakage done by the Premier Merchandising Department.
• Remove and stack used, empty pallets and breakage in designated area in empty bay.
• Assist other operations team members with duties, if needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned and directed by Management.

General Eligibility Requirements of the Job

• Work experience requirement: Previous delivery experience and operation of three or four-axle tractor-trailer truck.
• Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
• Training or special skills requirement: None
• Age requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
• License(s)/certification(s) required: Class A Permit
• Driving record requirement: No more than 2 moving violations within three years. No DWI convictions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and move up to 165 pounds occasionally.

Compensation: $37,125 (Base Salary Commission)
