Premier Demolition is Hiring a Project Estimator Near Glendale, AZ

Looking for a Project Estimator that is very proficient with creating estimates and proposals for Demolition Work. Our areas of focus are, commercial tenant improvement and high end residual demolition. We use On Screen Takeoff and other bid software. Candidates must have proven experience and be a team player. Premier Demolition self performs 90% of our work. We do not gather bids from subs and combine them into an estimate. We are an established company that has positioned itself very well to fully take advantage of opportunities or downturns in the future. 

Job Summary
As a Demolition Estimator you will calculate possible costs and gains of demolition projects. You will collect and analyze data according to a series of useful variables. In general, the goal is to provide Premier Demolition and it’s clients with accurate information that will help in critical decision making and help in operations and strategic planning. Therefore, it is important that you are detail-oriented, thorough, and organized.

Key Accountabilities

• Create estimates and cost or expenditure statements for use in future project consideration 40%
• Create cost tracking and reporting operational systems 10%
• Consult with outside sources and analyze documents to create time, cost, materials, and labor estimates 30%

Responsibilities

• Acquire understanding of the requirements of the project at hand
• Select metrics to produce valid estimates
• Conduct job walks and take pictures to gather essential information
• Review documents or consult experts to collect necessary data
• Analyze date and produce forecasts
• Prepare cost analysis
• Manage bid pricing
• Ensure timely completion of estimates
• Understand scope of work to bid
• Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties
• Select advantageous deals by evaluating offers and quotes
• Establish and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders (vendors, subcontractors, project managers, etc.)

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a construction/demolition estimator
• Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Understanding of estimation metrics
• Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Goal-oriented and organized leadership
• Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
• In-depth understanding of the construction industry
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with bidding software like ACT and OST
• Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations
• Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
• Development of client relationships

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. This position frequently requires long hours.

Travel

Travel is primarily local, although some out-of-area travel may be expected.
