Preferred Management Services, Inc. is Hiring a Human Resources Office Administrator Near Saint Paul, MN

What began as ownership of an 84-unit property has grown to almost 1,400 units today. Our nine communities’ range in size from an 84-unit community to a complex with over 250 units. We only manage the properties we own. This not only eliminates much of the bureaucratic red tape that comes along with property management but allows for a deeper personal investment in and relationship with each of our tenants. We have almost 50 employees, ranging from Property and Community Managers to Maintenance Technicians and Caretakers. Regardless of their position, our staff has made a commitment to maintain each of our communities to the highest standards. Our communities are located exclusively in Ramsey County, Minnesota. We pride ourselves on the service and amenities we can offer our residents. Each of our communities offers 24-hour emergency maintenance service, secured entryways, on-site laundry facilities, off-street parking, and convenient access to public transportation. Many of our properties are conveniently located near schools, shopping centers, banks, medical facilities, and parks, showcasing the best of Saint Paul, Maplewood & Falcon Heights.

Job Duties/Description:

HR Duties:

· Interviewing/hiring as well as any terminations that may arise.

· New hire onboarding orientation.

· Conduct background checks for new hires.

· Benefits review and implementation for our medical and dental plans.

· COBRA

· Process workers’ compensation claims that may arise.

· Maintain employees' personnel records.

· Ensuring the company is following current employment regulations/laws.

· Answering employee questions regarding benefits.

Office Administrative Duties:

· Work with the VP of Operations on the unlawful detainer process (evictions).

· Submit files to company attorneys and follow up throughout the entire eviction process.

· Generate non-payment of rent (late) notices for tenants.

· Work with third-party vendor on Utility Management and billing.

· Maintain and update eviction and late notice spreadsheets.

· Filing

· Assist in answering phones.

· Assist with any special projects.

Requirements:

· At least 1 year of HR experience

· Able to work in a small office and work independently.

· Experience with Rent Manager software a plus but not required.

· Property Management industry experience is a bonus.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Bilingual a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
