Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Powder Coat Lead to join our team. As a Powder Coat Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the powder coating process and ensuring the highest quality finishes on our products. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate powder coating equipment

Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking

Apply powder coating using airless paint spraying techniques

Monitor and adjust equipment settings to achieve desired coating thickness and appearance

Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs

Train and supervise a team of powder coat technicians

Maintain inventory of powder coating materials and supplies

Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient production flow

Requirements:

Previous experience in powder coating or auto painting is required

Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues

Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes

Proficiency in materials handling, including operating cranes or other lifting equipment

Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material quantities

Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
