Essential Functions:
§Ensures that pay practices are documented, pay rates and programs are monitored and that merit increases are timely.
§Present benefit plans to employees and explains changes to benefit plans, employee options, and the process of enrollment/de-enrollment.
§Orders and distributes benefit/personnel supplies, such as employee handbooks, summary plan descriptions, enrollment forms, provider directories, etc.
§Coordinates the I-9 process including completing employer section of I-9 form; verifying new hire employment eligibility, following up on work authorizations that expire, and ensuring that I-9 forms are completed and maintained in accordance with Kindred policy and INS regulations.
§Coordinates PIB (pay-in-lieu of benefits) process, including verifying that employees do not elect PIB when enrolled in any other benefit plans (excluding the retirement savings plans).
§Posts state and federal posters required by law in appropriate locations.
§Assists employees with leave requests and ensures that appropriate documentation is submitted to the Corporate Human Resources Department when departing and returning from leave.
§Monitors employees on leave, receives and tracks benefit payments, and produces weekly reports of employees in a leave status.
§Ensures that the HRIS contains correct employee information including; social security number, job title and FLSA status.
§Serve as Affirmative Action compiler for facility.
§Sets up and maintains payroll records/files in accordance with policy and state and federal rules and regulations and ensures confidentiality of same.
§Serves as a back up to the SDC to ensure WOTC compliance.
§Performs other tasks as assigned.
§Reports to Administrator
§Knowledge of computerized payroll and bookkeeping systems.
§Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
§Skilled in the use of computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
§Ability to be accurate, concise and detail oriented.
§Ability to maintain confidentiality.
