Description

Precision Optical Transceivers is a system engineering and integration company focused on optical transceivers and related active/passive optical components. At Precision OT, we are recognized globally as a premier supplier of optical transceivers and related active/passive optical networking equipment. As we continue to grow we are looking for an exceptional National Account Manager for our Toronto office. 

The National Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic customer accounts at a national level, maximizing all opportunities within the assigned accounts. This individual be responsible for managing new product introduction, advanced system integration, legacy product support and technical problem solving, perform detailed market research/analysis, conduct sales presentations, manage a sales pipeline (Salesforce.com). The successful candidate will have a record of success in building and maintaining strong relationships with key national accounts, while maximizing sales and profit opportunities. . 

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to facilitate communication with customers and build long-term relationships to achieve business goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success
  • Provide network and optical engineering advice and expertise to customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
  • Network within the assigned key Account(s) to identify and address specific needs
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met
  • Work with Precision’s Engineering departments to set and implement strategies for new products
  • Collect and analyze sales data and trends
  • Availability to travel as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Skills / Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with Salesforce CRM solution and MS suite of products
  • Provide a remarkable client experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a process-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Lead by example. Identify current or potential problems, take ownership and see them through to resolution.
  • Act as a unified team. Possess strong interpersonal skills including the ability to proactively communicate with and help others, within and across departments.
  • Ability to work independently. Seek and incorporate feedback on your performance from management, coworkers and clients.
  • Demonstrated PC literacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle & prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on currently deployed platforms, systems and processes.
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients’ requirements
  • In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field
  • 3 or more years of related work experience.
  • Familiarity with common optical transport, routing and switching platforms.
  • A documented history of successfully National Account Management.
