Precision Metal Works is Hiring a Logistics Manager Near Montgomery, AL
This position manages the inflow and outflow of all materials and finished goods. Responsible for supervising individuals in purchasing, receiving, warehouse, and shipping.
Job Requirements
- Evaluate processes to improve efficiencies and accuracies from order entry thru manufacturing and to shipping.
- Be able to complete basic functions of each area as a backup to the personnel.
- Assist each area as needed based on workload.
- Maintain accurate inventory records including performing cycle counts and/or annual inventory counts.
- Responsible for stockroom organization.
- Review open order reports received from customers to determine production needs.
- Review Material Planning reports to assist purchasing.
- Supervising personnel in the department to include training and disciplinary actions.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years logistics or manufacturing experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer literate (MS Office and ERP systems)
- Good communication skills and leadership experience.
- Understanding of purchasing, shipping, receiving and stockroom practices.
