FABRICATION SHOP WELDER
Precision Industrial Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a FT Fabrication Shop Welder for immediate hire.
POSITION SUMMARY:PIC Fabrication Shop has immediate openings for experienced Welder to join our team. We’re looking for a hardworking individual who enjoy meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a background in MIG, TIG, STICK with FCAW and GMAW processes.

Self-assess work and use good judgment to ensure that finished product meets quality requirements.
Strong work ethic and strong attention to detail.
Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations
Able to perform with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:Must be certified or able to pass 3G FCAW weld test to AWS D1.5 standards.
Minimum of 3-6 years on the job experience in a structural shop as a Welder.
Ability to interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
Knowledgeable in crane operations and rigging of structural steel and operation.
Familiar with craftsmanship criteria set forth in AWS D1.1 and D1.5-2010.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, and determines sequence of operations.
Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
Plan sequence of operations, applying knowledge of, effects of heat, and allowances for weld shrinkage, machining, and thickness of metal.
Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly/tacking and or welding using prescribed fixtures and proper work procedures.
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as MIG and TIG welding machines, Grinders ETC.
Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or portable grinders.
Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
Must be able to lift, pull, push and/or carry up to 50lbs
Moves parts into position manually or by hoist or crane.
Must have manual dexterity and visual acuity
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position such as: standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, etc.
Day Shift / Swing Shift positions. Extensive benefits package. Wages commensurate with experience.
Pre-employment Drug Screen is required. Travel outside of Fabrication shop is required approximately 20-30% of time with pay incentive when this occurs.
