SUMMARY
Inspects forgings and tooling for dimensional accuracy and surface defects by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
* Measures dimensions of product to print tolerance.
* Visually examines casting for defects such as cracks and un-fills.
* Separates any defective parts for MRB disposition.
* Certifies all measuring instruments prior to use in inspection.
* Performs process inspections for the machine shop.
* Applies and validates serialization using Hilti Gas Powered stamping guns
* Uses performs inspections with profile gages as well as standard hand tools such as vernier calipers, height gages, and stiff jaw calipers
* Can read, interpret, and understand blueprints.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This job reports directly to a supervisor.

Require at least 1 year of Machining, Equipment Operation, and/or Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to read blueprints and use micrometer gages
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
