Today, Skutt continues to grow. Third generation owner/President Jim Skutt embraces the founding philosophy and commitment to excellence his father Phil helped create over the past half-century. Our mission is To help our customers, from artists to industry, make great things by supplying excellent products and personal service. Much has changed over the last 60+ years. Kiln companies have come and gone, new clay bodies and glazes are developed that demand greater firing precision, and automatic controllers have replaced the once cutting-edge KilnSitter. Skutt has made molds, pottery wheels, gas kilns, ventsbut our primary focus has always been manufacturing high quality electric kilns for artists, educators and hobbyists. Skutt kilns and wheels are made in America and sold all over the world to artists, manufacturers, schools and institutions. Skutt does not sell direct to the public. We have a network of over 200 distributors. We feel very strongly that our distributors are the backbone of the Ceramics and Glass industries and we should do everything we can to support them.
