The Opportunity
Precede Biosciences is seeking a (Senior) Director, Translational Science to report directly to the CSO and be a part of a growing translational science team that defines and ownsthe scientific strategy, including experimental design, execution,and collaboration with external partners such as leading academic researchers and biopharmaceutical companies.

Your Role
    • Work closely with the CSO and the rest of the translational sciences team, contribute to the development of the Precede scientific strategy including the identification of key scientific questions that need to be prioritized
    • Own the development of the strategy in select disease indications, against specific targets, and covering specific therapeutic modalities as defined together with the CSO and translational team
    • Collaborate to design and drive execution of impactful studies that assess the utility of Precede's unique epigenomic liquid biopsy platform to inform drug development and clinical decision-making
    • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with investigators and biopharmaceutical companies, working together with CSO, the head of external research and partnerships, and the business development team
    • Contribute to the analysis, interpretation, and communication of scientific and clinical data, including communication at major scientific meetings.
    • Deepen your knowledge of science, of current and future potential applications, and conduct diligence to understand the evolving landscape of diagnostics and biomarkers.
    • Establish strong cross-functional relationships to enable superior performance against scientific and company objectives, including team members across computational biology,assay development, business development, and operations.
Who You Are
    • Great teammate who is passionate about impacting the lives of others positively
    • M.D. or Ph.D. with a focus on cancer biology or a related field
    • Industry professional with at least 5 years of oncologyexperience in drug development or diagnosticdevelopment in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
    • Knowledgeable with applied experience inclinical research design, statistical methods, and regulatory requirements for diagnostics and therapeutics
    • Published author with track record of peer-reviewed publications and presentations
    • Builder of effective relationships with internal teams and external partners in academia, industry, and regulatory agencies to enable effective strategy development and execution
    • Strategic and operational thinker with a strong bias for action
    • There is no job too big or too small; you have a resourceful"roll up your sleeves" approach to your work; you prioritize team success; and you set a high standard for yourself and others
    • Experience working in the field of epigenomics is considered a plus
