Procurement Specialist

PraxisPackaging continues to grow!! We are bringing on new business and are lookingto grow our Supply Chain/Procurement Department.

We are seeking a SupplyChain professional who is well versed in Supplier Management and materialprocurement. The ideal candidate is expected to bring outside experienceto this role and integrate with current Praxis business systems and developprocesses and a support structure for current and future growth. Weoperate in a cGMP environment, so strict adherence to regulations, rules and guidelinesis required along with ethical sourcing practices with suppliers. Strongnegotiation skills and the ability to be self-directed are required.

Essential Functionsand Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement cycle for both Praxis andUnette companies by developing & implementing purchasing fundamentalstrategies
• Responsible for sourcing equipment, and goods and services to support Manufacturing; managing vendor relationships and overall purchasing spend
• Confirm procurement lead and roll to support thebusiness
• Understand commodity pricing and negotiations
• Manage supplier performance
• Convert FG forecast to component requirements and communicate requirements to each
  component supplier
• Manage delivery of orders ensuring compliancewith lead times
• Ensure quality and delivery from suppliers

Knowledge &Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree, required or equivalent combination
• 3-5 years Purchasing experience required
• Working knowledge of MS Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) related software, preferred
