General Purpose of Position:

The Legal Counsel role will provide legal support and advice on a wide variety of matters related to the Company’s pharmaceutical business and operations. This position reports to the General Counsel, and is based in Mason, Ohio.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Membership in a state bar association and, if not a member of the Ohio bar, be eligible to register for corporate counsel status in Ohio
• Proficiency in legal research and staying current on changing laws and regulations that apply to the operations of the Company
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once, drive execution and meet deadlines
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct, including ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information

Education and Experience:

• Law degree from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials

• Preferred at least 2 yrs. experience assisting with legal matters for pharmaceutical or health care organizations

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must have the ability to adjust focus for unplanned activities and other duties as assigned. Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Required to sit, talk, see, and hear. Must use hands and fingers to operate computer.
• The work environment is indoors at the Company’s headquarters. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
