PrairieCare is Hiring a Therapist - Adult, Intensive Outpatient Program Near Minneapolis, MN

This opportunity is eligible for a sign-on bonus!
As a Therapist, you will:
•Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the psychosocial services for patients of PrairieCare
•Provide a comprehensive range of services to patients and families
•Seek to enhance the functioning of patients
•Provide individual and family therapy
•Coordinate care with outpatient providers upon admission and discharge
•Consult with other clinic providers and provide a unique perspective in the areas of family systems and/or social work theory
•Provide coverage for other therapists as needed
•Potentially supervise Master's level family therapy, counseling, or social work interns (based on qualifications)
Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy under the supervision of an independently licensed clinician
  • Work towards independent licensure, meeting all board requirements, including supervision hours
  • May work with children, adolescents, and adults with mental illness as assigned
  • Provide collaborative coverage for other associate therapists/therapists across other treatment teams, settings, and levels of care throughout the organization when the need arises, as assigned
  • Contribute to the interdisciplinary team the perspective of their unique training and supports the clinical lens in supporting staff from other disciplines
  • Maintain an active relationship with the clinical supervisor
  • Develop increasing autonomy in providing clinical care
  • Build skills in the differential diagnosis
  • Develop and assign treatment goals and interventions
  • Collaborate with program staff and referring providers to maintain continuity of care
  • Participate in case conferences and treatment team rounds
  • Maintain clinical records in compliance with policies and regulatory standards
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely billing records, per program requirements
  • Ensure compliance with program policies, external regulatory standards, and payer requirements
  • Participate in holds/restraints as required by patient safety needs and as trained in the program
  • Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with colleagues
  • Maintain confidentiality of client medical records according to program policy and HIPAA rules
  • Attend required training seminars, group supervision, and regular staff meetings
  • Support quality assurance and peer review activities as assigned
  • Oriented towards, educated in, and embracing interculturally responsive functioning from lenses of gender, race, age, and other cultural identifications and differences
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in social work, psychology, marriage, and family therapy, or related field. Associate level license preferred (LAMFT, LGSW, or LPC)
  • Stated desire to learn about intensive levels of mental health care
  • Stated desire to work with children, adolescents, and families
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations
  • Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potential emergency situations
  • Ability to make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstances
  • After training, be able to support the management of disruptive and explosive patients
