Job Summary:

The Facility Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position reports to the Director of Environmental Services and works closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas using approved cleaning products and techniques.
• Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of illness or disease.
• Dispose of trash and biomedical waste properly.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Director of Environmental Services.
• Follow established safety protocols and procedures.
• Ensure that storage areas are organized, and supplies are labeled.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude towards residents, visitors, and staff.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
