Job Summary

This PRN or relief position will work in the Prairie Lakes Healthcare System Specialty Clinic, providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients under supervision of providers.

Responsibilities include:

Provides direct and indirect care to patients utilizing the nursing process in providing patient care.
Applies nursing process, critical thinking, and judgment to clinical practice.
Prepares patient chart for visit.
Assists with cleaning of patient treatment areas.
Restocks and orders supplies for patient treatment areas and nursing stations.
Cleans instruments and utensils and delivers to appropriate area.
Performs medication administration and technical skills within their scope of practice.
Performs medication administration and technical skills within the scope of practice of an MA.
Coordinates and assists with discharge instructions, follow-up care, diagnostic testing, procedures, and medication instructions.
Performs insurance Prior Authorizations.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

LPN- Must hold or is eligible for licensure in the State of South Dakota.

CMA- One year certification in Medical Assisting is required.

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System has a Drug Free Workplace Policy. An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment.
