We are currently seeking a Managing Director to join our investment banking team in our Chicago or Oakbrook Terrace, IL offices. Our investment banking team specializes in providing merger and acquisition, capital raising, and fairness opinions to the owners and boards of middle market family and private equity owned businesses across the United States.

What you will be doing:

• Creating and managing new deal flow and originating new client engagements by leveraging your professional network and developing a meaningful prospect pipeline
• Leading project teams throughout the transaction life cycle
• Communicating financial information and strategic issues in a concise and relevant manner to assist and guide prospects and clients throughout the pitch and transaction execution process
• Providing leadership, professional development, and mentorship to team members
• Participating in key industry conferences, speaking opportunities and marketing efforts to generate exposure and promote the firm

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 to 15 years successfully completing M&A transactions, with the most recent 10 years focused on new deal origination
• Demonstrated track record of middle market M&A and/or leveraged finance deal origination
• Established professional network and proven success developing strong and influential client and partner relationships
• Strong understanding of the capital markets including pricing, deal structure and financing alternatives
• Exceptional work ethic, professional integrity, and self-motivated to achieve business development goals
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degrees/credentials preferred
• Series 63 & 79
