Tool Service, Inc. is a well-established tool repair facility founded in 1975. TSI is an independent authorized factory and warranty repair for most major brands. Some of these brands include Craftsman, DeWalt, Makita, Black and Decker, Milwaukee, Bosch and Husavarna.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Repair Technician who can diagnoses problems, repair, install, replace and service different types of electric, battery and gas operated tools. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Diagnoses problems and come up with solutions to repair them.
• Thoroughly cleans tool parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Prepares reports documenting work performed.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of tools.
• Provides rough estimates to customers on how much it would cost to repair damaged or malfunctioning tools.
• Explains issues with the tool(s) and repairs to customers.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years or more of related experience required.
• Experience from Stanley/Black and Decker (known as DeWalt), preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds at times.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service tools.
• Must be able to visually inspect tools.
