Position Title: Business AdministratorLocation: Mercy HealthPlex Queen CityType: Full timeSummary:Join our team of full-time and part-time staff at Mercy HealthPlex Queen City. Our facility is managed by Power Wellness Management, a company that specializes in managing state-of-the-art medically integrated health and fitness centers. The purpose of the Business Administrator is to serve as a liaison for the management team and corporate office as it relates to center operations. This position will provide non-manual services directly related to the general business operations of the center, including: general human resources consulting; oversight of all hiring and active employee and termination paperwork; accounting activities and maintenance of the center’s membership accounts; payroll and benefits information, and serve as a core business software resource for the center. The Business Administrator may also provide oversight and leadership over a center department as designated by the Center Director or Operations Manager.Responsibilities: 1. Coordination and processing of all prospective job applications2. Responsible for onboarding all new employees hired at the center3. Maintain and ensure accurate team member personnel files at the center and in coordination with the corporate office and ensure center is compliant. 4. Completion of paperwork related to workmen's compensation, short-term and long-term disability in coordination with the Center Director and corporate office.5. Support management team with employee relations, provide support and back up to center managers and all departments as needed.6. Respond to membership issues and questions related to account and membership status and billing concerns.7. Sending monthly and yearly expiration letters, statements, EFT returns and credit card expiration letters to members, and update member accounts accordingly.8. Oversight of final payroll submittal to corporate office and distribution of bi-weekly payroll checks, including any corporate letters or memos.9. Monitor mandatory employee requirements such as CPR renewal, employee yearly evaluation, and anniversary and birthday reminders to managers.10. Daily POS cash reconciliation and deposits, balance and process petty cash and maintain change for service desk and café.11. Accounts Payable (invoice receipt, coding & seeking approval for payment), as well as maintaining the center’s vendor accounts and handling of all vendor issues in coordination with the corporate office. Prepare and submit billing statements for rent and outside services.12. Work Manager on Duty shifts as assigned.13. Be proficient in all core business software as it relates to job duties and responsibilities. 14. The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours, work schedules and scheduling appointments for prospects and members.15. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:- High School diploma or GED required.- Bachelor’s and/or Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college preferred.- Minimum 4 years of experience in a business/accounting environment preferred.- CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.- Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner.- Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor with a high level of organizational skills and efficiency.- Proficient computer skills. - Ability to exercise sound business judgement without supervision on human resources and administrative matters of significance.
