Their turnkey method takes away the stress of the development and management process allowing clients to focus on other areas of their business. The Child Care Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Child Care Associates. He/she ensures that Child Care Associates are delivering an exceptional member experience while providing child care in a safe, caring, secure and effective manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide leadership, direction and oversight to Child Care Associates. 2. Develop creative programming and lead daily crafts and activities for children of all age and skill levels. 3. Ensure adequate staffing levels according to center scheduling policies to ensure a safe environment for all children. 4. Greet children and parents in a positive manner, while monitoring appropriate entry and exit of adults and children in and out of the secured children’s area according to center policy. 5. Be knowledgeable of and enforce the Center’s child care policies to ensure a safe environment for all children. 6. Be receptive to parent’s feedback, concerns and/or questions related to childcare, including appropriate follow up as needed. 7. The ability to lift and carry infants and toddlers. 8. Have the ability to perform all the duties outlined in the Child Care Associate job description as needed. 9. Assist with hiring and training all Child Care Associates. 10. Work Manager on Duty shifts as assigned. 11. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED required. • Bachelor’s and/or Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college preferred. • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred. • Minimum 2 years of experience in child development or child care preferred. • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness) • Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner. • Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor. • Proficient computer skills.
