Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and assisting with administrative tasks in a medical office setting.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely communication
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals
