Power Careers LLC is partnered with a controls and integration service solutions engineering company based in VA. This company is dedicated to working with Tier IV data center customers in the IAD area. They are looking for a Sr. PM to join the team.
Overview:The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Controls Engineers and Project Engineers in order to make sure projects are completed on time, within schedule, and finished with the highest quality. This role provides high-level technical service to customers, including engineering support and assistance with network topology planning and system controls design functionality. It also requires collaborating with project engineers and end-users to develop cost-effective SCADA controls designs and solutions, ensuring integration of essential system requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer support and collaborate with project engineers, system engineers, and end-users to develop efficient SCADA controls designs and solutions, ensuring integration of essential system requirements.
- Possess knowledge and understanding of HMI system integration concepts and SCADA applications.
- Update company BMS/EPMS standards, specifications, and management protocols.
- Work on construction sites, assisting in BMS system deployments, PLC code development, ventilation, and chiller plant alarming.
- Validate BMS system sequences of operation and provide support for system testing during commissioning.
- Develop and implement QA procedures, write detailed daily reports, and coordinate project work to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
- B.S. in engineering-related discipline or 5 years of field experience, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Field service experience with various programs/software such as Rockwell Factory Talk, Tridium, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Ignition, Eaton Networks, Field Servers, Jace Controllers, Bacnet, and Niagara.
- Minimum 2 years of system integration experience as a team lead or project manager, Ignition certification is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of mission-critical data center sector, MQTT-Sequel Server-Ignition core protocols, Windows Power User Level, communication protocols (Modbus, Modbus-TCP), and electrical/mechanical schematics, control diagrams, MOP-building operations, electrical theory, chiller control circuits, and industrial HVAC systems. Additionally, excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required for managing large-scale controls projects and meeting customer requirements within tight schedules.
