Potential Inc. is Hiring a Direct Support Professional Near Newtown, PA

Do you have a passion for helping people and a desire to make a difference?

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Potential Inc. help adults with Autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities to reach their full potential by teaching communication skills, assisting with activities of daily living, reducing behaviors that interfere with quality of life, promoting independence, and integrating clients into their community. DSPs provide specialized attention to clients, working with one client at a time. Each individual has a unique plan created to meet their specific needs and goals. Services take place in private homes and the community, not in a group home or residential care facility.

Why Potential? Potential is a non-profit Autism service organization that works passionately to make meaningful changes in the lives of our clients. Rooted in the belief that every individual with Autism has the potential for a fulfilling life, we employ evidence-based treatments and a committed support network to help children and adults gain the skills they need to learn and succeed. Joining us means becoming part of a team that values and practices respect, compassion, teamwork, and integrity. We offer the perks of a big business with the close-knit feel of a small company. Our team appreciates the values we uphold, collaborations fostered, and opportunities for professional and personal growth.

We're committed to your growth and success. We offer career development opportunities beyond our initial training period: discounts at partner colleges and universities, annual training and ongoing professional development opportunities, and ongoing supervision and mentorship with supportive supervisors.

We offer the benefits of a big business with the feel of a small company. Benefits include AFLAC, pet insurance, tuition discounts at partner schools, an employee assistance program, an employee referral program, and a 403b retirement savings plan.

Qualified candidates should be:

  • Able to engage with adults (21 years of age and older) with varying service needs
  • Able to implement individualized behavior support plan and reach service plan goals
  • Open to receiving and incorporating feedback from your client's BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) in future sessions
  • Able to accurately document client sessions by collecting data, writing session notes, and completing service logs/timesheets
    • Basic proficiency with technology required
  • Able to maintain client safety and confidentiality

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Able to drive your individual in your personal vehicle
    • Must have an active driver's license and proof of active car insurance and vehicle registration

Potential believes that all people are entitled to equal employment opportunities. We follow state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring and employment.

We do not discriminate against employees or applicants on the basis of race, age, religion, gender, or any other characteristic protected by state or federal law.
