PORT Health Services is Hiring an INTERN Near Greenville, NC

 
Port Health’s mission is to improve the lives, health and well-being of individuals and families dealing with substance use and mental health disorders. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated intern to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team designed to provide or arrange access to a full continuum of care for adults and youths. 

What You’ll Do

Port Health services provides one-on-one and group counseling for clients with substance abuse and/or behavioral issues. As an intern, you will complete your clinical rotations as part of a team on a 4-week rotation. You will maintain clinical documentation according to program and Medicaid standards regarding service provision, assessment, and progress reports.

How You’ll Benefit 

This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, you will learn how to use skills acquired in school and apply them in a professional setting to gain a better understanding of an Outpatient Therapy service provider in substance abuse and medication management.

What We’re Looking For

To join our team, you must be currently enrolled in a Therapist Assistant Intern program. To be successful in the clinical rotations, you must possess the below skills:

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and internet applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry out assigned projects to completion
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
