This is a hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days work from home per week). Our newly renovated office is in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia.

Responsibilities:

  • Before a product launch
    • Researching competitors and retail trends to identify new product development opportunities- share those recommendations with Product Development team
    • Working with the appropriate internal teams to develop a launch strategy including marketing and sales outreach, product positioning and aesthetic considerations
    • Liaise with the Marketing Project Manager to ensure on-time delivery of launch assets and that all standards and requirements of the launch strategy are met
  • During a product launch
    • Act as the product manager and own the product’s go-to-market strategy by ensuring that all messaging is accurate and presented in a way that speaks to our customers
    • Work with the Marketing Manager to direct the creation of content about the product, including videos, blog posts, presentations and photography
    • Manage and own the launch process (in Asana) for the marketing department
  • After a product launch
    • Oversee customer response and implement changes based on any relevant feedback in the market or industry
    • Continue to monitor and provide suggestions on all aspects of customer facing communications in coordination with the marketing and sales teams throughout the life of the product or line
  • Existing products
    • Review and make recommendations to help to position, communicate, and strengthen sales of existing products
    • Organize competitor research and confirm Pop!’s product positioning and pricing are competitive in the market
    • Monitor communications and help to provide strategic copy points to increase customer education and understanding of both our product line and unique positioning in the marketplace
    • Monitor and educate the team on the industry’s competitive landscape and how to increase Pop!’s standing through marketing our unique value proposition.
    • Be the top internal resource for the state of the industry, to include knowledge of competitors, product lines and trends.
  • Effectively communicate with all departments and act as a liaison between teams to ensure smooth communication, updates and education on all products 

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Marketing or related field
  • 5 years in a Marketing role, with a product marketing focus
  • Previous experience in researching and building a go-to-market strategy based on design trends, consumer market demand, and competitive landscape.
  • Passionate about retail trends, designs, and visual marketing as a result of previous experience in apparel, fashion, consumer goods or accessories.
  • Highly organized with solid project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and spreadsheet savvy
  • Comfortable making important decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written communication and writing skill; ability to present to groups of team members
  • An ability to work under tight deadlines
