Maintenance Tech - Facilities

Gerspach Properties LLC is looking for an experienced Maintenance Tech to join its staff. It manages the property that PoolSupplies.com occupies at 574 Main Street in Tonawanda, NY. PoolSupplies.com is one of the largest online and catalog retailers of swimming pool products and supplies in the country.

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Tech will join a small group of technicians to perform maintenance and repair in our buildings. The candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties in the building trades, such as painting, carpentry, minor electrical, HVAC and other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing the building.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following

• Perform routine daily inspection and maintenance necessary to building interior/exterior as instructed by the Facilities Supervisor;
• Perform installation, repair and construction work in the building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, welding and HVAC;
• May be required to drive company vehicle to pick-up supplies. A valid driver's license is required.
• Other duties as may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good knowledge of the practices, terminology & safety precautions of the building trades;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may occasionally include extended shifts and weekend assignments;
• Ability to use all types of hand tools and power tools;
• Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift and other motorized equipment; and
• Good attendance and reliable transportation.
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience in a large warehouse environment; a plus
