Pomp’s Tire Service has an immediate opening for a Shift Supervisor. The Shift Supervisor works with customers to schedule service and assigns tasks to service employees. With stores and services offered throughout the Midwest, Pomp's Tire Service offers a variety of unique opportunities to exercise your skills in the automotive services industry.Job Responsibilities: Safety First: Ensure adherence to all Pomp’s, OSHA, and DOT safety regulationsAnswer incoming phone calls and handle customer inquiriesAnalyze tire problems and advise customer as to solutionsAssign tasks to service employees in accordance with customer needs and employee skillsAssist with store inventory managementFollow and collect past due accountsIn conjunction with the Training Department, ensure service employees are properly trained for their positionsMaintain a clean and orderly work areaAdditional tasks as assignedJob Requirements: Management experience preferredSales experience preferredValid driver’s license and driving record to company standardsAbility to maintain professional demeanorGood oral and written communication abilityIntermediate computer skillsBasic automotive/mechanical skillsStrong attention to detailStrong time management skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredASE and TIA certifications desiredPrevious tire experience strongly preferredPhysical Demands: Regularly lift, push, or move 50 pounds; occasionally lift, push, or move 100 poundsEmployee is required to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and co-workersConstant standing required with frequent twisting, bending, stooping, crouching, and crawlingFrequent use of fingers and hands to feel, frequent reaching above shoulders with hands and armsFrequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrationPrimarily working indoors with occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions such as heat and coldFrequent exposure to various toxic and/or caustic chemicals; safety equipment is provided as neededNoise level in the work environment can be loud; safety equipment is provided as neededWe offer competitive pay and a great benefits package.
