Polytek Development Corp is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician Near Comstock, MI
- Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed.
- Basic carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing.
- Clean windows and maintain doors.
- Clean and maintain garbage/cardboard compactor area.
- Maintain all lighting, including safety lighting in building.
- Keep building exterior clean and free of clutter or garbage.
- Maintain exterior property, including basic salting/light snow removal between contractor runs.
- Light janitorial duties when required such as sweeping and cleaning floors, garbage collection, refilling supplies between contract janitorial visits.
- Light landscaping work such as weeding, planting flowers, etc.
- Performs other work related duties as assigned.
- Primarily day shift hours.
- Perform errands, parts, and supplies pick up as needed.
- Complete any other tasks required by manager.
- Report safety concerns immediately to your supervisor.
- Follow all rules set forth in Polytek’s Employee Policy Manual.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer.
- Must be able to work in an office environment.
- Must be able to talk, hear and see with vision abilities including close/near, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing areas.
- Must be able to understand, speak, write, and read English.
- High school diploma or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 0 - 1 year of experience preferred.
- Must have ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
