Expectations | |||
Plan, manage, control & improve the following processes at Decatur plant: packing and palletizing of finished goods. Appropriate packing of in-process feed (for MET and secondary slitters). Repack finished goods as required. | |||
Responsibility | |||

1.1 | Understand and follow all policies, rules and guidelines relating to ESSH | ||
1.2 | Always wear appropriate PPE as outlined in ESSH policies | ||
1.3 | Report every incident or injury to your immediate supervisor | ||
1.4 | Recognizes unsafe work conditions created by other workers | ||
1.5 | Foster participation from Shift Team Members to implement ESSH improvement ideas | ||
1.6 | Collaborate with ESSH resources to promote hazards recognition | ||

2.1 | Stage and organize pallets per the run plan | ||
2.2 | Take labels from the roll coming from the production area. Verify the information from the roll and place roll on the specified pallet. Place each label on either end of the pallet end boards | ||
2.3 | Operate the overhead crane to place the palletized roll on the conveyor belt | ||
2.4 | Secure and stretch wrap the roll | ||
2.5 | Scan the roll then print a pallet label and place on finished roll | ||
3. Other Responsibilities | |||
3.1 | Scan rolls received in the warehouse (on pack line and thru MHEs) | ||
3.2 | Troubleshoot the pack-line as required or coordinate with maintenance for the same | ||
3.3 | Housekeeping of packing area and pallet shed | ||
3.4 | Managing inventory at point-of-use | ||
3.5 | Other duties as assigned | ||
4. Physical Requirements | |||
4.1 | Able to Bend, twist, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, push and pull | ||
4.2 | Able to lift 50 lbs. | ||
4.3 | Able the reach in all directions | ||
4.4 | Able Walk and stand for extended periods of time to cover 12 hour shifts | ||
