Summary:
Manages the purchasing, shipping, and receiving departmental functions. Responsible for the purchase of food products, beverages, and equipment within the specified parameters. Ability to attain the highest quality product for the lowest price point. Manages Food Trak base ordering systems, implements set controls and policies, orders, receives, tracks, and allocates all expenses to the corresponding departments club wide.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Purchasing department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Preferred:
Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Hospitality Management or Accounting from an accredited college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a culinary procurement department of a 4/5-star hotel, club, resort in a purchasing management position, or high-level culinary school with knowledge of food product, receiving and delivery procedures.
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, members, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Working knowledge of all business math applications with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Internet; Inventory software; Payroll systems; and Order processing systems preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Health Department license in Sanitation management.
Serve Safe Food Handler certificate.
