Polaris is currently seeking an experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team. This position offers a full-time arrangement. The work primarily involves physical security for a Corporate building in New York, New York area.

We are currently looking to fill the morning shift (2 PM to 10 PM). This position requires you onsite Monday through Friday. Salary will be commensurate with your experience, and ranges from $34 to $38 per hour. Polaris offers its employees opportunities for significant growth.

YOUR ROLE

As an Armed Security Officer, you would be responsible for physical security for a Corporate building in New York, New York. You would be responsible for all of the following:

• Maintaining a discreet, yet alert profile while onsite.
• Securing the premises, guaranteeing the safety and well-being of employees and visitors onsite, while fostering a secure and hospitable atmosphere.
• Investigating suspicious individuals or behaviors and responding to any potential threats in a deescalating manner, in line with corporate security’s protocols.
• Consistently maintain exceptional professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

• Retired law enforcement with relevant experience in executive armed protection.
• Current firearms permits and proficiency in firearm handling.
• Previous experience in security or protection roles, particularly in high-profile settings, is imperative.
• Corporate client coordination or customer service experience, including ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
• Ability to maintain composure and execute rapid, professional decision-making in coordination with corporate security.
• Ability to effectively adapt to evolving situations and make informed decisions.
• With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional, recent security certifications or training.
• Computer knowledge and writing ability; Microsoft Office Suite.
